Major Planning Application
After much frustration our planning application has been submitted and should be granted by around June. Effectively, the current financial climate will prevent anything substantial happening on site for the next year or two although even when construction does start it will be in minimum disruption phases with the first block of new accommodation being built by the front gate and existing occupiers of the next phase will then be moved into the new accommodation at your landlords expense. We shall keep you informed as to progress and you can see the 3D proposals on the new page of the website.
New Signage
New directional signage has been approved by your landlords and is being installed by mid April. We trust that the lively red and white sign boards, unit numbering and up to date occupier boards will allow your visitors easier access to your unit.
Locking the gates.
Thank you everyone, hardly any mishaps again last month, however, there are still occasions when some occupiers and or their visitors have not been locking the gates after they leave at night and at weekends. Locking the gates is everybody’s responsibility and it is your security put negligently at risk by the thoughtless. Outside people have been observed disposing of their waste in the bins that you all pay for and looking through the waste bins for documents that may assist them with identity fraud. Be aware of security in the estate, it is for your own good.
Security.
Please do not approach anyone looking suspicious, if you have any concerns contact Luba our maintenance and security operative on 0780 937 4859.
Waste bins
Will all occupiers please ensure that waste materials placed in the biffa bins are wrapped or bagged and the lids closed after filling. The skip is meant for builders waste or waste to large for the biffa bins, please ensure that large waste is placed inside the skip and will not move. The waste bin area is a wind trap and any loose materials irresponsibly disposed of whiz around the entrance and they have to be picked up again. Please be aware and let us know in The Estate Office (unit 4D) if you find something amiss around the bins.
Cardboard recycling bin.
Please contact Coral in the Estate Office (unit 4D) before taking your old cardboard to the bins, This bin is kept locked to ensure no other waste is placed into it by mistake (the waste carriers rule!) If Coral is not available please find one of the maintenance crew.
